About Me

I’m Do Bae, a Realtor with eXp Realty in Vancouver and Burnaby. I studied civil engineering at UBC and worked in project management at the City of Richmond before real estate, so I plan your move like a project, with the order and the numbers settled before anything is listed.

My Mission

I help Vancouver and Burnaby families who've outgrown their first home move up to the next one. When the numbers work, your first home becomes your first rental and keeps building wealth for your family. My rule: buy a home worth owning forever, whether you live in it or rent it out.

My Background

After UBC I worked at a civil engineering firm, then joined the City of Richmond in 2019 in a project management role. I got my real estate licence in 2021 and went full time in 2022. I bought my first home in April 2020, when hardly anyone was listing. When my wife, our dog and I outgrew it, I kept it as a rental and bought our next place.

Before you buy, I pull the recent sales nearby and read the inspection report with you, and the strata documents when there are any. If you're buying your next home while selling your first, we set the order before you write an offer.

I price your home from recent sales nearby, and I host my own open houses. If you're moving up, we decide whether to sell first or buy first before your home goes on the market.

MOVING UP

Selling one home and buying the next means two sets of dates to line up. I keep your lawyer and mortgage broker working to the same dates, so you aren't carrying two homes longer than you planned.

Before you sell your first home, I run the numbers on keeping it as a rental next to what selling it would leave you. Your accountant confirms the tax side.
